We need your help!

As Vacation Rental Home owners most of you are not registered to Vote in The City of South Lake Tahoe.
On November 6, 2018, South Lake Tahoe (CIty) will be asked to vote on Measure T that will determine the future of our economy.
Measure T bans short-term vacation rental in most of the City of South Lake Tahoe.

What can you do?

DONATE: You can donate today to stop Measure T. Please contribute online by visiting https://savetahoejobs.org/donate.

VOLUNTEER: If you are interested in volunteering for the Vote NO on T effort, sign up at https://www.savetahoejobs.org/get_involved or email us at hello@savetahoejobs.org.

VOTE: You can talk to friends, family and business colleagues that are eligible to vote in South Lake Tahoe. Encourage them to register to vote if they are not already and talk to them about the devastating impact Measure T would have on the community if Measure T succeeds.

*PERMIT RENEWAL CHANGES*
(for SLT City Permits)

To renew your CITY vacation home rental permit, you should be aware of the new requirements adopted by the City of South Lake Tahoe City Council on November 21, 2017:

A new vacation home rental application is required annually and must be submitted with your payment before the permit expires. There is no grace period. Failure to meet this requirement shall rendered the vacation home rental permit null and void.

  • Vacation home rental permits expire one year from the date of issuance.

  • All vacation home rental properties are required to install a bear box by July 31, 2018.

The renewal process now requires you to complete a vacation home rental application and submit it with your payment.

Send completed application to the attention of the VHR Clerk by mail to 1052 Tata Lane, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150, or fax to (530) 541-7254, or email to vhr@cityofslt.us. Please reference the property address on the check and issue the check to the City of South Lake Tahoe.
