Our step-by-step guide to the VHR Permit Process
Permit Notifications/Renewals (1/17)
A recent change has recently occurred across the board for VR Permits in both the City and County as well as the TKPOA. These entities are no longer copying the VR companies on the permit renewal invoices. In the past, we have receieved these and paid on your behalf. Please note in the essence of expediency we urge to pay these personally. If you want these to run thru your account at Tahoe Keys Resort you must send us the invoice a few weeks prior to the deadline. Since we are not receiving notification - we have no way of tracking the renewals.

Tahoe Keys Resort Launches Laketahoe.com - May 7, 2014
A big coup for the team of Tahoe Keys Resort was the aqcuisition of the domain www.laketahoe.com as of January 1, 2014.
The site is the go to place for planning a trip to Tahoe or to find something quickly when you’re here,” said Lisa Underwood, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Tahoe Keys Resort. “With so many people using their mobile devices when they are on the go, we invested the time and energy to make this site easy to access and use on mobile devices. What really separates us from local search engines, and review services like Yelp, is our team of more than ten dedicated local Tahoe writers that have been pumping out personalized experiences about all things Tahoe including hikes, skiing trails, boating and restaurant reviews, concerts and more. We expect local businesses to be offering specials, coupons and daily deals that will keep people coming back to the site again and again.”
The site is targeted to the following markets - transient drive market Northern California, but it’s also ideal for vacationers from Southern California, Las Vegas, Portland and Seattle, to as far away as Texas. LakeTahoe.com doesn’t shy away from locals and provides a great resource for events, a daily calendar, and a resource for local businesses and services locals need.

Letter to City Council Dated June 4, 2008
**If you decide to write a letter to the City Council please do not focus your comments around vacation rentals allowing you to offset your payments and expenses associated with owning your home. One council member (Crawford) has made his counter argument that the city residents should not have to sacrifice their quality of life to help second home owners pay their bills. Focus your letters on overall economic impact, pride of ownership and your investment in this community, and enforcement of current laws vs. additonal regulations. Please note that two council members are very supportive of our cause - Ted Long and Mike Webber.
